# Profile on Individual Contact Record Page

Manage and edit contact details from the Profile page

## **Overview 👩**

The **Profile** page allows you to view, edit, and manage key contact details on an individual contact record.

To access the Profile page, open a contact record and click the **Profile** tab in the menu bar (see image below).

On the Profile page, you can:

-   Update contact details
-   Add custom fields

💡 **Tip:** If you include a contact’s date of birth, CoachVantage will display **Upcoming Birthdays** on your Dashboard.

## **1\. Updating Contact Details from the Profile Page**

1.  Click **Contacts** on the left menu.
2.  Click on the **Contact Name** you'd like to update.
3.  Select the **Profile** tab to edit the contact's profile details.

### **List of Profile Fields**

The following fields are available on the Profile page:

-   Contact Type\*
-   First Name\*
-   Last Name\*
-   Email\*
-   Time Zone\*
-   Gender
-   Date of Birth
-   Business Title
-   Mobile Phone Number
-   Company Phone Number
-   Home Phone Number
-   Company Name
-   Company Address Line1
-   Company Address Line2
-   Company Address Line3
-   Home Address Line1
-   Home Address Line2
-   Home Address Line3
-   Website URL
-   FaceBook URL
-   LinkedIn URL
-   Instagram URL

### **Website & Social Media URLs**

-   When you add URLs to the Website or Social Media fields, icons will appear to the right of the contact’s name (see image below). Clicking an icon will open the corresponding webpage.

### **Contact Types**

You can update a contact’s type at any time using the dropdown selector.

Default contact types include:

-   Current Client
-   Hot Lead
-   Prospect
-   Past Client

You may also create and assign your own **custom contact types** to suit your workflow.

### **Saving Your Updates**

Click **Save** in the bottom-right corner of the Profile page to apply your changes.

Your Dashboard includes a **donut chart of Contact Types**, giving you a visual breakdown of all contacts in your account.

### **Contact Portal Syncing**

If a contact has an **Active Client Portal**, any profile updates they make will automatically sync to your CoachVantage account.

For example, if a contact updates their:

-   First name
-   Last name
-   Email address
-   Time zone

…the Profile page in your account will update automatically.  
  
You will also receive an **email notification** when a contact changes their profile information.

## **2\. Adding a Custom Field to the Profile Page**

If you need to store additional information that isn’t included by default, you can add a **Custom Field** to the Profile page.

1.  Click **Add Custom Field**.
2.  Enter the field name.
3.  Click **Save**.

The custom field will be added to the Profile page for **all contacts**, so you only need to create it once.

**Example:**  
If you add a custom field called **Personality Type** for John Doe, the same field will appear on every other contact’s Profile page.

## **Removing a Custom Field from the Profile Page 🚫**

To remove or edit a custom field label:

1.  Click the **Edit** icon beside the field label.
2.  Make your changes.
3.  Click **Save**.
