Courses Feature Overview

Turn your expertise into scalable online learning with the Courses feature in CoachVantage. Create, sell, and deliver structured courses—complete with AI-generated content, integrated payments, and a seamless client portal experience—all from within your CoachVantage account.

The Courses feature in CoachVantage allows you to create, sell, and deliver online courses directly inside your CoachVantage account — without needing external course platforms, integrations, or complex setups.

Your courses, coaching programs, clients, and payments all live in one place, creating a seamless experience for both coaches and learners. Clients can access everything from a portal, reducing friction and making it easier to engage with your offers.

With AI-assisted course creation, built-in sales pages, payment options, and learner engagement tools, you can quickly turn your expertise into scalable learning experiences.

What You Can Do With Courses

Using the Courses feature, you can:

  • Create structured online courses with modules and lessons
  • Generate course outlines using AI
  • Add videos, text lessons, audio files, and downloadable resources
  • Sell courses with integrated payments
  • Launch a ready-to-use course landing page (sales page)
  • Invite existing clients or group coaching members to enroll into your course with one click
  • Guide course learners into 1:1 or group coaching programs as natural upsells
  • Track learner progress and engagement
  • Manage communication and course access from one platform

How Courses Fit Into CoachVantage

Courses are fully integrated with the CoachVantage ecosystem:

  • Clients access courses via the Client Portal
  • Payments are handled through your connected payment gateway (Stripe and/or PayPal)
  • Coaching programs can be offered alongside or after courses
  • Emails and automation help you nurture and upsell learners
  • This allows you to scale your impact and income without adding additional tools.

Creating a Course

To create a new course:

  1. Click Courses from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Create New Course.
  3. Choose one of the following:
    1. Generate with AI (recommended)
    2. Create Manually

AI Course Creation with Vanta, our AI wizard

When using AI, simply describe:

  • Your course topic
  • Who the course is for
  • Desired structure (e.g., number of modules and lessons)
  • Note - Vanta AI can help create your course framework, for eg the course title, description, and the modules and lesson titles and descriptions. However, at this time, it cannot be used to generate your course content, for example the videos or text content for your courses.
  • When entering your prompt for Vanta AI to create your course framework, the key is to be specific and succinct so that the course title, description, and the module and lesson descriptions are created accurately. 
  • Here's an example of a good prompt for Vanta AI to generate your course framework:
    • "Create an online course about mindset coaching designed for mid-career professionals (ages 30–45) who feel stuck in their careers and want to build confidence, overcome limiting beliefs, and develop a growth mindset to achieve meaningful personal and professional goals. Structure the course into 4 modules with 4 lessons per module."

Vanta AI will automatically generate:

  • Course title
  • Course description
  • Course category
  • Course curriculum (modules and lessons)
  • Landing page URL

You can edit or regenerate content anytime using AI assistance.

Building Your Course Curriculum

Each course is organized into:

  • Modules – main learning sections
  • Lessons – individual learning units

Within each lesson, you can add:

Lesson Content Types

  • Text-based lessons or instructions
  • Video content via:
    • YouTube
    • Vimeo
    • Loom
    • Direct video uploads
  • Downloadable resources (PDFs, documents, or links)

Lesson Settings

You can also:

  • Publish or unpublish lessons
  • Allow learner comments
  • Enable private learner notes
  • Show lesson previews on the landing page
  • Display estimated lesson duration
  • Require lesson completion before unlocking the next lesson

Setting Course Pricing

Courses can be offered as:

  • Free courses
  • Paid courses

After connecting your payment gateway, you can:

  • Set one-time pricing
  • Offer an installment payment plan
  • Add a pricing description
  • Display strike-through pricing for promotions

Customizing the Course Landing Page

Every course includes a pre-built sales page that you can customize.

You can modify:

  • Course title and description
  • Benefits and feature sections
  • Banner image
  • Color palettes
  • Page sections and messaging

The landing page can be shared directly or embedded into your website using an embed code.

Course Settings & Communication

Courses include built-in communication and access controls.

Email Customization

You can customize the following course email templates:

  • Invitation email
  • Enrollment confirmation email
  • Direct enrollment email
  • Incomplete reminder email 
  • Completion email

Magic tags allow personalization using client information (such as first name).

Access Controls

You can control how learners progress through content:

  • Module-based or lesson-based access
  • Sequential lesson completion requirements
  • Community wall access for learner interaction

You can also display recommended courses inside the client portal to promote additional enrollments.

Publishing and Enrolling Learners

Once your course is ready:

  1. Click Save and Publish.
  2. Share your course via:
    • Direct landing page link
    • Embedded website page
    • Social media
    • Email invitations to existing contacts

You can enroll existing clients directly from your CoachVantage contact list.

Learner Experience (The Client Portal)

After enrolling, learners can:

  • Access courses from their Client Portal
  • View modules and lessons
  • Watch videos and download resources
  • Leave comments on lessons
  • Take private notes
  • Mark lessons as completed
  • Progress through structured learning paths

Learners also see recommended courses, encouraging continued engagement.

Managing Your Course

From the Manage Course dashboard, you can:

  • View enrolled learners
  • Track learner progress
  • Monitor course completion
  • Review payments and invoices
  • View and reply to learner comments

You can also invite learners into:

  • One-on-one coaching programs
